Porphyrin Products was established in 1974 in Logan, Utah to fulfill a perceived need in the biomedical field for research grade porphyrins. We have expanded our listing and capabilities and developed several advanced molecules that are currently being evaluated as photodynamic antimicrobial agents, pressure indicators, and photodynamic cancer therapy. In 1997 we began a new area of business, offering boronic acids under the name Frontier Scientific. In 1999 we changed the name of the entire corporation from Porphyrin Products to Frontier Scientific. From its inception with an offering of ten compounds, the porphyrin division of Frontier Scientific has grown to encompass over 70 regular catalog items, both in naturally occurring and synthetic porphyrins.
